Harris Pro Ferm + for cider works to eliminate Chloramine and Chlorine from your water, which could otherwise react with the yeast during fermentation to produce unwanted phenol flavours, also known as the "homebrew" taste.

This product feeds the yeast to support a healthy, strong fermentation under restricted oxygen conditions and promotes a clean pure final taste. This is the first and only product on the market to remove the homebrew taste in Cider. For this product to work simply crush one tablet into the cider together with one spoonful of the powder then pitch in the yeast and stir. This product will improve any homemade cider, whether you're making cider from a kit or from fresh ingredients.
